Vice President, Chief Audit & Compliance Officer

  • Led the global audit services team in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Munich and Hong Kong and co-sourced resources in Bangalore India.

  • Responsible for executing the strategic audit plan; developing the company-wide enterprise risk assessment (ERM); global SOX project management and testing; whistleblower hotline; Corporate Compliance function; product testing; and supplier compliance (factory audits).

Established outsourced Internal Audit function and transitioned to in-house staff. Led company wide fraud risk assessment project and FCPA compliance procedures and training.   • Responsible for 8-person Internal Audit Department reporting to the EVP General Counsel and Audit Committee Chairman. Met regularly with senior executives, Audit Committee and full Board of Directors. Provided leadership and direction for company's SOX control documentation and testing activities and co-led implementation of Year 1 SOX compliance program with the CIO. Introduced presentation-style audit reports, developed data analytics, implemented corporate compliance hotline, and established guest auditor program. Published quarterly internal audit newsletter and championed the identification and dissemination of best practices.
